CONCERTS
2020 I really enjoyed the challenge of playing in public for a wider audience. It is a special situation not knowing the people in the audience, their preferences, and their appreciation of my music. So I have to try to find the appropriate songs for the special circumstance of the event. And need to get comfortable being in the spotlight, and also that this is a non-failure-tolerant situation … which will required a special level of practise, and consistency, to entertain the audience in the appropriate way.PRIVATE EVENTS
2020 Mostly I play for my own, in composing, and in practicing. But it is really nice to play for some friends who appreciate the playing, and the music. This gives a special cozy atmosphere as some of the music is really intimate, and playing for a small audience also allows to experiment and improvise a bit around the core melody. My ambition now it to play at people‘s house when they feel like having my music with me live - not as background music, but to enjoy the sound of my music live out of their pianos. This can be at small parties, but also special events - little „house concerts“, like in the old times.NEW MUSIC
2020 Harmonies and sounds are a vivid source of new ideas for me. Sometimes I sit down in front of the piano, and hit one single key - and that triggers that this single key wants to be accompanied by other keys to form a harmony, or a melody, or both. My music emerges from so many different stimuli that I would love to have more time to pursue them more intensely … as I do not, things will take a while. What i really enjoyed on the „In the Moods“ album is the intro with pure Cello on „My Star is Born“. That came to live more accidentally in the search for creating an introduction for this song, but I got really fond of taking the piano track away, and shaping the strings into the Cello sound … so at some point of time, for the right piece, I will try to get this kind of orchestration a bit more further developed.LYRICS AND SONGS
2020 So far my music has been only instrumental, although each piece is telling a story. Somehow I like to paint in people‘s heads when they listen to the song - with some it works, with others not. So at some point I will try (likely with help of friends) to describe in words what I want to express, and find the right tune for a singer to join me in the music; telling the „full story“ :-)OTHER IDEAS
2021 There is always room for new ideas, and new visions …. I am sure that new inspirations will stimulate some further intentions.My Plans
Wherever it will take me to … I like what I am doing at the piano, and wish I could take more time to play, practice, compose, and create new touches based on harmonies
